You've got to live the blues to play the blues.
My art is not the blues particularly. Looking back, its what I am. You be the judge of what that amounts to.
Customarily, an artist elaborates a bit more. I like to drive without looking under the hood. Sometimes, you're forced to check.
Here's something cute I made out once looking inside.
Art is a Rorschach test. Open to interpretation.
As the creator, I let paintings loose. I drop the reins. I pull them back.
I play with it. Singing, drumming, tennis, painting are less about thinking and strategizing.
Less about defining technique. More about getting the ball across the net with that special touch.
My game? Build it on the fly. Find out what it does. As paintings mature, they are clothed with various themes based on a seemingly arbitrary choice of names.
In my opinion, forces of the subconscious can be setting things up behind the scene.
You can be in the middle of something without realizing its significance.
Paintings can be revealing. There is no single final meaning. Just answers that happen to stick. Paintings, in my opinion, could have multiple titles. A person can hold competing, opposing viewpoints. The same swing of a sword can bring both harmony and destruction. Humans love neat simplification. The world is not man made.
