I'm going artist. I'm going pirate. I'm going into theft.

Being a gentleman about crediting photography has been a wonderful time. Dear to my heart. But there is a tempting world outside the bubble of shared source material. The sirens call.

I'm trained in graphic design. Some things I know about art have come from the street. Word out there is that... if you don't get caught it's allright to borrow, steal or interpret. All that jazz is different sides of the same coin. Different interpretations of the same practice.

I can steal prolonged looks at a photograph while painting away on my artwork. With the same brushstrokes I can be "interpreting," "borrowing," "studying," "referencing..." As far as I can tell, art has been liberal in judgement of stealing if the artist hides footprints succesfully enough, or is good enough to avoid questioning.

I won't write a typical thank you mentioning only the aboveboard sources. When in Rome eat like the locals.
